By 12:00 a.m., you will have had the opportunity to get to know all the other members of the group. This will be a intra-district event, therefore also an opportunity to build a larger network and new friendships with Fellow Rotaractors from all over Switzerland. From this moment until 05:30 p.m., these will be either your best friends or your worst enemies because I am going to make you become aggressive professional rowers.
Frau Weidner, from the Wohlensee Ruderclub will wait for us at their dock on the Wohlensee. We will start with a short technical introduction to rowing and then will warm up on the ergometers. When everyone will be ready, we will go on the water with the boats.
If someone will get too tired or prefer to enjoy the warm sun, they can relax at the lake or take a refreshing bath. For those, who will get hungry before dinner, there are a MIGROS and a coop near the rowing club.
The cost of the 6 hours of training is 950 CHF for 30 persons. The Rotaract Club Bern and my humble self will pay 100 CHF each. Therefore, the cost for the participation is 25 CHF per person. If more than 30 people will join the event, the excess will be donated to the Rotary Bern Kirchenfeld to sponsor the project Teach a Child Africa.
